First Journal
I have been working on a Mail Art project for Nervousness.org over the holidays. This is one of the happy products of my "For the Love of Gardens" project. I have a few more things to do but I am so proud of theses journals. There are six of them and they are waiting for embellishment. The embellishment consists of adding artwork contributed by the 5 wonderful Nervousness members that graciously accepted my invitation to join this project. I hope they like it.

I have plans to complete some envelope books and notecards are already in the works. I will feel very satisfied when this project is complete. It has been a challege for me.

Icicle Ornaments

These are a few of the items I made for my mother for Christmas. Mom is one the few people I know who are not caught up in having to have "such'and'such" for Christmas and probably feels close to what I feel about the commercialness of Christmas. So I try to make her presents, the sad thing is I don't always get them done on time. I still have one item to complete from last year. It is a candle screen. But it will be well worth the wait because it is covered in french beaded flowers.

So this year she received these beaded icicles, a beaded Christmas ball, a handmade journal like the one in the next post, original art notecards, postcards and stationary and three framed original art pieces. I love my Mom.

100 things to accomplish in 2005

Phew! It's over. I think I want to be out of town for next Christmas. At least then all the whirl wind spending and lack of time to oneself will make sense. I hope.

Anyway. I've been creating and managed to actually finish some things for my mom for Christmas. Now its time to get them posted. In honour of the spirit of the season then, It is time to finally commit to a resolution I made a few years back and actually get a website and shop set up.

That's the first recorded challenge to accomplish in 2005!
