Some really usefull surfing

OK, so my first craftshow of the season is over. It was not bad. I did alot of talking and should probably of had a cup out fromt with a sign saying knitting advice $0.50! I think I gave alot of people ideas on Saturday.

Sold all but one of my scarves. Probably could have sold many more if I had knitted more. They are getting funkier as I go. Now I have orders to fill.

Anyway.. some cool ideas for knitting found today

Cute flower scarf and bag courtesy of Hunet Corporation check out their Licensed Character Products

Art by the inch challenge!

So it begins...

It is November 1st and the challenge I made for myself was to create 2500 inches of art this month. This means that I need to create a little more than 83 square inches a day. It translates into roughly a little less than 1 sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper. Doesn't sound like much? It is to me. I like detailed work. A finished piece that large would take me quite of bit of time to think about let alone do. A huge doodle might do it but then I would feel I wasn't really making an effort to create.

It also translates into 20 2" x 2"pieces per day. That is alot but I think I am going to start with that size. i figure that is a usable size for doing something with the art I create. I ahve a need to make anything I make useful. Not that hanging things up on my wall doesn't mean it isn't useful. I just admire the extra bonus of being able to use beautiful things.

So today I am going to make some blanks to take home with me. I have so much on my plate already, I can just imagine how impressed my husband is going to be with this one.

I am challenging myself to post every day this month as well and update the gallery of art I create!
