Simply Friday

After a long week of actitivies, meetings and commitments I am going out tonight. I am taking my daughter, niece, her friend, nephew, mother and sister-in-law to see the Royal Lipizzaner Stallions in North Bay. I saw them when I was a child in Stratford and they left a lasting impact on me. My niece competes in show jumping as does her friend. This should be amazing for her.

Then I'm off to Ottawa tomorrow morning at 5:oo am to attend the Annual General Meeting for the Vintage Racing Association (VRRA).

Then I'm back hopefully in time to our daughter out for Halloween.

I think next week belongs to me. No, hold the phone, I have a craft show to prepare for for November 13th. Arrrgh! When will it ever end.

My first comments! Yay

I feel like a true blogger now. I can't wait to be newsworthy enough to be included on HGTV or something.

Thanks to greenchicken (see comments Ideas... at 10/27/2004 01:27:00 PM) for the following WOW link to katie aaberg of goblinko and to her live journal of goodies. Now I just have to create! I've added a link for a gallery page for my intented month of creativeness thanks to Art by the Inches challenge (via nervessness.org). Check out the challenge by clicking on the ruler.

I am thinking by starting to cut 2 inch squares out of cardstock and making minature art. The sneaky idea I have is that I could paste them on cards and solve my greeting card/birthday card problem. I don't really have a problem, it's just that I can't bear to buy cards and my lack of gumption in having cards ready means that invariably I never get anything sent out.

I could also take the squares and mount them on something sturdier and send them as Christmas ornaments.

... could also frame theme in glass and use them as coasters.... ah it begins the creative juices are starting to flow. Stay tuned!

Mark Posted by Hello

Some inkblot type caracters for my Google Eyed Monsters LMAO on Nervousness.org. I had a good time making theses. But I was amazed at how many I made before I was happy with five of them. I still fell a bit dizzy from blowing through the straw... I have an idea for a new LMAO. I will have to mull this one over but it involves inkblots.

Knitted Rabbits

Posted by Hello
I actually have been making things everyday. Its just that I haven't necessarily been making one thing a day. Is that an excuse? I've knitted two rabbits. I actually like the other one better but someone from our office has the digital camera so I couldn't take a picture of it. I scanned this one. His nose looks a bit flat but I'm sure his general look is pretty accurate.

I have started one with a verigated yarn. Should have most of him done tonight if everything goes according to plan.

My Paper Crane

I happened accross this site today thanks to Erica Mulherin My Paper Crane is going to become a common read!

I am not sure if I am loathing and spiteful of all these people who seem to have all this extra time on their hands or envious and inspired. I really don't feel that I waste my time but I sure can't produce like other people do. I am too much of a perfectionist.

New experiment! Produce 1 thing a day to scan and put up on this blog! I will not limit myself! It could be a scribble (we all have to start small), but it has to be something. Oh yah s**t I can't scan on the weekends. ...... OK I can update on Mondays, phew I almost let myself off before I started.

Today it'll be hmmmm.... I owe drumturtle some turtle ATCs for a nervousness exchange. Let's see if I can get that accomplished!

I have friends coming to stay for a few nights from Australia. Actually they are from Canada but have moved there for work. They have a 1 year old whom I have never met. How do you baby proof a house again? My daughter is five; it is amazing how much we forget about babies. I also have Sparks tonight. No wonder I never get anything creative done. Although if I could publish what's in my head, I could retire!

Cute Critters

I found these cute critters on Craftster.org. They are so amazing I am thinking of trying the pattern out and modifying it to sell at a local crafts show this November. We (my Mom and I) have been trying to go funky this year. She has painted up all this amazing little chairs in wild colours. I have been knitting my heart out on some luxurious scarves and will move on to making gypsy purses next. I have a long list of other things to make and I knwo I have a lot of work ahead of me.

I'll try to post pictures as things get completed.
